Andrés Alvira
Andrés Alvira is an Uruguayan artist born in the city of Maldonado.
The starting point of most of his works is in landscape; his admiration for nature and the Uruguayan coast are recurrent in his work. However, there are also cityscapes, cities, and ports within his body of work.
The synthesis of his painting leads to increasingly abstract work with large patches of color that support an accented line forming a whole. His paintings are created with distinct rhythm and movement, and his palette can range from shades of gray to stronger colors closer to Fauvism.
Andrés paintings portray constant movement, experimentation, and learning inspired by the states of our being and his internal atmosphere.
